ICS Booster Club Members Needed

The Booster Club raises funds to supplement student travel to ISSEA activities and athletic events. We also assist the school in student recognition of participation and outstanding achievement in our after school programs. Currently we seek new members who would like to contribute their time and energy to improve our school's activities and athletics department. Addis Ababa Youth Rugby Clinic

Learn one of the world’s widest played and most exciting sports. Rugby was a game invented by boys for boys. This clinic is intended to introduce the basics of the game in a safe and controlled environment. Head coach David Goetz is a fully certified IRB rugby coach.

ICS International ISSAAA Track and Field Meet—18-20 April

The third annual ICS International ISSAAA Track and Field Meet is coming soon. This event attracts international schools from both outside of Ethiopia and within. Up to 70 ICS students in the middle and high school are involved. These students have been working for months to prepare with the hope of performing at their absolute peak. This is a chance to show your school spirit. Please come out and cheer for the Eagles!

Track Use Clarification for Parents

Parents are encouraged to use our track for personal exercise. We appreciate positive role models using the facility. We do ask parental understanding that the use of this facility is a fantastic privilege for our community. In this spirit, should a PE class or sports team be using the facility we ask parents to be understanding and give appropriate space. Parents are encouraged to use the track before 8:00 AM or after 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

ISSEA Success in Uganda and Zimbabwe

After a season of focused training and preparations, the Eagles volleyball and soccer teams traveled to Uganda and Zimbabwe over the 31 October to 4 November weekend to participate in the 12th annual ISSEA games. Participating schools came from South Africa, Zambia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Uganda. This seven school competition features an even table of similarly sized and minded schools. Success at these events is a battle as all teams are equally hungry for the podium.

ISSEA Soccer 2012

On 1-3 November, the ICS Eagles travel to Harare, Zimbabwe, to compete in the International Schools of Southern and Eastern Africa soccer tournament at the Harare International School.

ISSEA Volleyball 2012

On 1-3 November, the ICS Eagles travel to Kampala, Uganda, to compete in the International Schools of Southern and Eastern Africa volleyball tournament at the International School of Uganda.

ISU has an ISSEA website where they will post updates. There is also a Facebook page which will have photos and other information.
