Upcoming Board Elections: 20 April 2010 

To date, the Board has not received any formal inquires, CVs or letters of interest for Board service. If you are interested in serving the ICS community in this capacity, please arrange a meeting or telephone conversation with a sitting Board member. We would be happy to speak with you.

In November and April the Association General Meeting (AGM), takes place. This is in an opportunity for both the Board and the Administration to brief the Members of the Association on the state of the school's academic, social, extracurricular and financial statuses.

This year in the April AGM new Board Member Nominees will stand for election to the ICS Board. There are four Board  Members whose two year terms are complete. There is one elected Ethiopian National position, which is also open. This position is not part of the electoral process. Nominations are also being taken for this position. If you are interested in making a difference at your child's school, want to learn more intimately how ICS works, and want to make ICS the best possible school for all children, please join us.

If you have any questions about the Board, please feel free to contact any current Board Member who will be happy to speak to you about this valuable volunteer opportunity.

CV's and Letters of Interest may be submitted to the following Board members only. They may be sent electronically or by hard copy. They must be received no later than close of business on April 7, 2010. There will be an orientation session with the Board to acquaint candidates with the Governance process, prior to the elections.

Correction from Last Week
The Ethiopian National position on the Board is an elected position. This position can only be filled by an Ethiopian National (Ethiopian passport holder) per the school's by-laws. The position will also be open for re-election. We invite you to apply, or to call Elizabeth Getahun, the current post holder on the Board for more information.
