PTA News 

It is hard to believe we are so close to the end of this school year and the PTA thanks all parents and teachers for their involvement and support throughout the year. A special thank you goes to Marzia Kushnar for serving as chair for the Spring Carnival Committee and all of the sub-committee chairs who worked so hard to make this event possible. The Spring Carnival was a great success with a net earning of 51,890 ETB. This money will be used to fund events for the upcoming year, support student-led community service projects and other PTA functions.

At our last monthly meeting we discussed which committees we will need for the fall. The following are listed with a brief description:
PTA BOARD LIAISON: A member shall act as a liaison between the Board and the PTA as a non-voting member at the ICS Board of Governors meetings.
HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL CHAIR: The chair of this committee will be responsible for deciding which subcommittees will be required, recruiting volunteers to fill these sub-committees and planning, organizing and presiding over meetings required for the planning of the event.
ELECTION COMMITTEE: The election for a new PTA Executive Board will be held in December. Three members of the PTA are needed to receive nominations of candidates and to supervise the election process. Aafke Zoutewelle and Sherry Sewall have volunteered to serve as two of the members of this committee.

We thank her for her service and offer all of our support. Thank you to Marti Miles for offering to fill the position for the remainder of the term. We appreciate your willingness to help!
