A New Lease on Life! 

On behalf of the Board of Governors I am delighted to announce that we have signed our 90-year lease agreement with the city’s land administration! On 30 March, Board Chair Brad Anderson signed the document that gives our Parent Association assurance that international students will be learning on the ICS Addis campus for many years. The lease signing culminated a three-year process that took the time and attention of two US ambassadors, two ICS Directors, dozens of Board members and many good people at the city, subcity and woreda offices. I want to especially highlight the patience and persistence of Ato Wondwossen, our Deputy Head of School for Finance and Operations. We would still be waiting for our lease, if not for his leadership and dedication to this process.
