Message from the Board 

Welcome to the Board Corner of the Yezare Samint. For those of you who are returning, welcome back, and for those who are new, welcome to ICS Addis. Our student enrollment continues to grow. Over the summer, infrastructure improvements were made including the refurbishment of the elementary classrooms and partial rebuilding of the perimeter wall which is still underway, but on schedule. We should soon see temporary classrooms being installed on campus.

During our June Retreat, this year's Board agreed that it would focus on two main areas during the 2010-11 school year. The first is to identify a new Director to lead ICS and the second is to develop a 10 year floating plan to create long term vision for the school. This will lay the framework for examining the future direction for ICS to meet the potential needs of the international community in Addis Ababa. Likewise, the Board will support the school’s efforts towards expanding curriculum and activity offerings, along with preparing for reaccreditation.
