Summer Library Hours
For the past four years, ICS has opened its library during the summer on Saturdays, from 9:00 – 12:00. This year we are happy to offer the same service for ICS families. The ICS Elementary and Secondary Libraries will be open on Saturdays beginning on 19 June, and ending on 7 August. If you are going to be in Addis this summer and are returning to ICS in August, you are welcome to use our library on Saturdays, and keep your children reading!

Library Books Due Back by 1 June
In order to begin the year-end inventory of the library, we are requesting that all borrowed materials be returned by Tuesday 1 June. Enjoy the long weekend with some great library books, but please bring everything back by 1 June. If anything is lost or missing, please request a bill and pay that amount to the cashier. Then bring your receipt to the library so we can clear your record. The library will remain open through the rest of the school year, but you will only be able to borrow again this summer on Saturdays 9 AM-12 Noon, July 3- August 14. Normal service will resume at the beginning of
the 2010-11 school year. Thanks very much for your cooperation. The ICS Book Fair was a big success. We raised 6600 Birr which we will be given to Our Father's Kitchen to help people who greatly need help. The leftover books went to the local kebele's library. Thanks to all who donated books, bought books, and/or helped at the fair.

Toy Drive by G11 Students
Our Grade 11 community service project needs your help. Grade 11 students have been supporting and working with a small community school for kids with special needs. We have already funded the education of two children in the school. We would, however, like to make more contributions. Therefore, we, as an eleventh grade class, are organizing a Toy Drive Monday 24 May to Thursday 27 May. We would like your help and appreciate it if you can “give a toy, to a needy girl or boy”. We would like all kinds of old toys that your family does not use anymore. This also includes board games and other educational toys. Remember, these children are not as privileged as we are, so even a small donation on your part can make a big difference in their lives. There will be cardboard boxes around the school for this toy drive. These locations include: the entrance to the cafeteria, the main office, outside the nurse’s office and at the library. If you are unable to donate this week we would still like your contributions whenever they are available. In such a situation, please give these toys or games to Mr. Hiest, Ms. Lyons, or Mr. Renzi, or leave your donations at the Reception Desk for the Grade 11 Toy Drive.
