Japanese Drumming at National Theater
Leonard Eto, on his East Africa Tour 2011, will perform at the National Theater on Wednesday 5 October at 6:00 PM. Entrance is free. Sponsored by the Japanese Embassy and Japan Foundation.

Christmas Bazaar at Deliciousness!
Delicious food, homemade ice cream, Christmas treats—just a few of the reasons to attend the bazaar at Deliciousness (an ICS-alumna-owned business!). Handicrafts and art crafts will be on sale as well from various vendors. Opens at 10 AM; entrance is 15 birr for adults and 10 birr for children. 0910-318-530.

Clothes, Toys, Books and Household Items Needed

The Mekdela Primary School, located behind ICS, is in desperate need for food, shoes and uniforms. This is a public school and there are many kids who come from very low income families. The teachers and children of the school have decided to start a second-hand stall on the last Saturday of each month at the school premises to raise money for their own needs.

Sinterklaas

On 4 December in the afternoon, Sinterklaas will be at the Dutch School in Addis to meet all his small friends and give them gifts. Although the program will be mainly conducted in Dutch, Sinterklaas has refreshed his language skills and will be able to talk in English, French and German as well. Addis Foto Fest, 7-12 December

We invite you to browse the new website of Addis Ababa's first International Photography Festival, directed & curated by Aida Muluneh. The first edition of ADDIS FOTO FEST brings together photographers from Africa and the Diaspora, in order to foster a dialogue through various exhibitions, concerts, panel discussions, residency programs, portfolio reviews, film screenings, slideshow presentations & much more.

“Passionate Lives and Leaders” Conference comes to Addis

How do world-class leaders design cultures that draw out and align the individual passions of all their people with the passions of the organization? How does a great organization pursue a great vision- a vision forged by the passionate, committed people in the organization? These are just some of the topics that will be covered by Phil Hotsenpiller, a global speaker and co-author of the 8 book “Passionate Lives and Leaders” series at a conference to be held on Saturday, December 11th, 2010 at the International Evangelical Church (note: this is not a religious event).

Music and Food to Benefit the Addis Ababa Food Run

A fantastic evening of food and rock 'n' roll dancing is coming up at Makush Art restaurant on Saturday 27 November. Tickets are selling for 300 birr (this includes food and rock 'n' roll dancing) and 200 birr of this goes to the charity the Addis Ababa Food Run.
