This is my second year at ICS and my twelfth year teaching Kindergarten. I have taught in Manila, Pretoria, New York, Bangkok and New Delhi. Schools and classroom have been different across the globe but the learners in my classrooms have always been amazing Inquirers. Their curiosity has driven the curriculum and learning to new heights. I am a firm believer and practitioner of the IB’s inquiry based approach to learning.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Delhi University; a teaching diploma from University of South Africa and an MA in Elementary Education from Michigan State University. I have also done courses in elementary literacy at Teachers College, Columbia University. I have been trained by IB North America for the Primary Years Program.
I enjoy teaching kindergarten, and in my spare time I like to help at the Missionaries of Charity in Addis. I love baking, cooking, jogging and spending time with my family.
I live in Addis with my husband and one daughter, who is in high school children. My son graduated from ICS and is at college in the US.
