Lisa Black
Elementary Music
I am very happy to be returning to Ethiopia and my second year of teaching at ICS. I am one of the music teachers in the elementary school, and I'm looking forward to an exciting year of music making.
I received my B.A. in music at U.C.L.A. and my M.A. in ethnomusicology from the University of Washington. Before teaching music at a variety of international schools, I taught piano privately in Seattle, Washington.
My husband, Robert Lucky, is a teacher in the high school. We have lived in India, Japan, Bahrain, Thailand, and China, and besides teaching have had many opportunities to study a variety of music and languages. I continue to enjoy traveling and the challenges of living abroad. During my free time I love to read books, listen to and compose music, and do yoga.
