Konjit Moges

ES Teaching Assistant

I am Konjit Moges. I am from Ethiopia. This is my fourth year at ICS. I am a Teaching Assistant in KG/first grade. I enjoy ICS a lot. I love working with six and seven year olds; they always make me smile.
I am a mom of two kids, a boy (5½) and a girl (two years old). I am a 'good' cook, a jewelry maker and a translator. I translated Bill Cosby's 'Fatherhood' and 'I am What I ate…and I am Frightened' into Amharic, with a friend of mine. (I'm sure Mr Cosby won't check this site, anyway.)

Before coming to ICS I worked at Sandford International School for four years as a Teaching Assistant in grade two and six. I was also a Radio Producer at Hiyaw Tesfa Radio Broadcasting and a News Reporter for a local English newspaper.

I studied English Language and Literature at Addis Ababa University and minored in Politics. I have graduated with an MA in Multi-disciplinary Studies from the State University of New York, Buffalo.

My hobbies include beading and reading. I enjoy spending my free time with my husband and kids. Teaching the Bible in the Sunday School program, at church, is my life calling.
