Katherine Brewer

Director for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment

I am delighted to be joining the ICS staff this 2011-12 school year as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. I am coming, most recently, from the Carol Morgan School in the Dominican Republic, where I have worked for the last four years in a variety of roles. My husband, Alan Brewer, who is teaching elementary school Physical Education and is the Activities Director for ES, and I consider ourselves blessed to be part of such an outstanding school.

I believe that students are most successful when there are clear expectations for learning, high standards, and the proper supports in place. My role here at ICS is to help facilitate students’ success. And while I won’t be working directly with students, I’m excited to be a part of the team that empowers them to not only be successful in this world, but to change it for the better.

This year, as we continue to move toward our vision of being a “premier educational institution in Africa preparing students to succeed in the 21st Century,” we, as a school, will be working strategically to ensure that your child receives an exceptional education.
