Jenna Pabalate

MS/HS Learning Support

My husband Joshua and arrived in Addis last year and are very excited to begin our second year at ICS. This year I will be working as a learning support teacher for high school and middle school students. Before coming to ICS, I taught in the San Diego Unified School District as an Education Specialist and a secondary English teacher. I have a B.A. and M.A. in literature from California State University San Marcos as well as a clear credential in English and an Educational Specialist credential from San Diego State University.

I love my job at ICS and am passionate about my role as a learning support teacher. I believe that all students can and want to learn and that each student learn in a unique way. My goal this year will be to support my students in their core curricular classes by giving them individualized, supplemental instruction, and the extra time they may need to process new information and concepts.

In my free time, I love hiking and running. I hope to explore Ethiopia and learn as much as I can from the culture and the new people I meet.
