Elizabeth Fracchia

MS Science and Math

Hello! I am excited to be back for my second year of teaching science and math here at ICS. I am looking forward to meeting new students and colleagues and working with all of the familiar faces as well!

I was born and raised in Glens Falls, New York, where I spent my first five years of my career teaching at my alma mater, Glens Falls Middle School. My educational experience includes a B.S. in Earth Science Education from the State University of New York and a M.S. in Science Education from Montana State University.

My decision to work overseas was driven by my desire to challenge myself, personally and professionally, in ways that were unique to my previous experiences. Although I have found the challenges I was looking for, the ICS community of faculty, staff, administration and students has made it an incredibly easy transition.

Life in Addis has already proven to be an exciting and motivating experience. Outside of school I spend most of my time cooking, running and planning my next vacation. Although skiing in my favorite activity, I have replaced my skis with a tennis racquet for most of the year. Thank you to everyone who has made ICS a truly great place to be!
