Eamonn Walsh
MS Science, Health
My name is Eamonn Walsh and I teach science and health in the middle school. My hometown is Saratoga Springs, New York in the United States.
I received my B.S. in Biology from SUNY Geneseo and my M.S. in Secondary Education from SUNY Albany. My previous experience was teaching middle school science in a New York public school before coming to Ethiopia.
In my previous life I have been a member of a wedding-tent set-up crew, fork-lift operator in a beverage store, cafe cashier and manager, hotel housekeeper, night-cleaner of ski mountain lodges, dishwasher, grill cook, busser, waiter, room service attendant, golf course ranger, ski and bike shop technician and salesman, masonry laborer, and state health department inspector. Teaching has been the most rewarding employment experience by far.
My main interests outside of teaching include skiing, biking, soccer, golf, fishing, and food. I also love to travel and learn about the world.
I look forward to my second year with the talented staff and students at ICS!
