Azeb Mamo

Early Childhood Teaching Assistant

My name is Azeb Mamo Habte. I am working at International Community School (ICS) as a Teaching Assistant in the Early Child Hood program. This is my second year at ICS, but my seventh year of a teaching career. Before joining ICS, in 2010, I have been teaching second graders as a self contained teacher at The British International School (BIS) for over two years (2008-2010). My first working place as a teacher was School of Tomorrow. I have been teaching there, from 2005 to 2008, as a math and English teacher for second, third and fourth graders.

I graduated from Kotebe College of Teachers Education, in teaching language and literature in Diploma program in 2005. I also have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Addis Ababa University in language and literature in 2010. I am now working on my masters Degree in Multidisciplinary studies from States University of New York (Buffalo States University).

I am a teacher by choice and I enjoy it a great deal I am always open to learn more new or better techniques to deliver the best teaching learning process. I have learned a lot through my teaching experience as well as from the courses I took. It is always exciting to be around with students and watch them explore the world and grow.
