Amy Ronning
Kindergarten
This is my second year at ICS. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, but after leaving college in 1989 my family and I have been global nomads. We have had the opportunity to live in Norway, China, Pakistan, Thailand and Italy. Prior to ICS, I served as the Librarian for grades Nursery – 8 at an international school in Rome. I have also taught Pre- K and grade 2, as well as EAL to adults. My undergraduate degree is in Psychology and I have a Masters in Library and Information Science. I am certified to teach K-5 through the State of New Jersey.
I am fortunate to return to ICS this year and my passion – teaching and interacting with the younger students, namely kindergarteners. I find it incredibly rewarding, educating and inspiring. I strive to understand the world of learning and socializing from a kindergartener’s point of view, while providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which each individual will thrive.
In addition to teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading, skiing, tennis and scuba diving.
I look forward with enthusiasm to another year of amazement, fun and learning with my Kindergarten students
