News of the Week
High School News, David Redmond, Principal
Below please find important information on current and upcoming events in the High School.
Progress Reports, Goal Setting, and Conferences
Than you to all of you who managed to come out to attend the conferences, despite our Internet problems. At the conferences, students have been able to present on their goals and share important insights into their academic progress with parents. Teachers and Advisors have been able to support students by helping them to set these SMART Goals (i.e. goals that are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-bound) and to develop effective learning strategies to improve learning. We will review students’ progress in Advisory in mid-November and determine how we can further support students to reach their goals this semester. The first semester ends on 16 December and we will send reports home at that time.
If you were not able to attend the conferences, of some teachers or if they were not available and you would like to arrange a meeting, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to make an alternative appointment.
Early Dismissal on Thursday and Friday, 13 and 14 October
ICS closes early on these days and high school students are dismissed at 11:30 AM. Please note that all students should leave campus at that time. On Thursday, students may return for their conferences between 4:00 and 7:00 PM. Please arrange to collect your children or to have someone else meet them at 11:30 AM.
