Student Led Conferences
In April, when the high school is having its parent teacher conferences, the middle school will be having student led conferences. These will take place on Tuesday April 11th (4-7:30) and Thursday April 13th (1-4:30). They will take place in specific classrooms and a schedule will be created with parents. Every student in the middle school will have put in significant time and prepared to lead this conference with their parents. It is essential that parents attend and participate to acknowledge the work and reflections of their child.
Grade 8 Transitions Event
It's hard to believe our Grade 8 students will be getting ready to leave us in just a few short months to take that next step in their educational journey: high school. This is an important time for students in the middle school as they begin to make that transition into next year's grade 9 class. There will be an information evening for parents of 8th grade students on February 13 at 6pm in the Upper Commons with High School counselor, Alicia Brown and High School principal, David Redmond. Please save the date and plan to attend this event where high school leadership will explain the course selection process and what to expect as a parent of a grade 9 student.
