Community Time

This week students watched a presentation on the Charity Cancer Run and Walk, which will take place on Saturday Oct 1 at the ICS track. Included in the presentation was an inspirational video about Terry Fox, an eighteen year-old Canadian who, after losing one leg to cancer, ran over 3000 miles across Canada (a complete 26 mile Marathon everyday) to raise funds for cancer research before he succumbed to the disease. Ask your child about him and our charity run and then come out Saturday to support medical treatment for Ethiopian children with cancer.

After the presentation, students were in house groups and decorated their new house hats. Fitup! begins on 25 Oct and will happen during the first 30 minutes on Tuesday and Thursday Mornings. Students will have to wear their house hats to Fitup! as well as House activities as we move outside for Houses beginning 5 October.

Student Council (STUCO) Retreat

This Friday the new MS STUCO will have their training retreat and sleepover in the Library. They will participate in a series of workshops and leadership trainings throughout the evening and early morning.
