The Helen Keller Story
The author of this book is George Sullivan. In this book, there are several main characters. There is Helen Keller, Anne Sullivan, and Hellen's Father.
This book is about a girl (Helen Keller) who was deaf and blind. Her intentions were to show people that she could do things even though she was very disabled.
The best thing about this book is that no matter if you are short, tall, disabled, abled, or even not that smart, you can always do something with your life.
Helen's father was a general in the military, and Helen would get into mischief when she was little; she would have tantrums also.
There is a person named Anne Sullivan that is hired to teach Hellen to read and write. But Anne had to put up with all of Hellen's tantrums day after day. This story mainly took place at Helen's home.
My favorite part of the Helen Keller story is when I found out that she wanted to go to a real college and major in subjects that regular girls major in. Her favorite subjects were German and Science.
Anne's complication was teaching Helen while Helen's complication was dealing with Anne everyday because Annne wouldn't let Hellen do what she wanted to do. To wrap up this little story I just wanted to say that Helen Keller did graduate from college and she did learn to speak by the end of the book.
