Make Connections with Colleagues Across Africa

Thursday, August 18, 2016

Every Thursday there's a slow, all-day chat on Twitter by teachers from all across Africa and around the world. There are themes and questions, but there's no time limit and no pressure. Join in the chat anytime during the day or evening. It starts at 7AM GMT (10AM Addis time) and goes until people run out of steam.

Today's theme is introductions and goals for the year. No pressure, just connect with other educators around the continent.

Ryan Harwood is a tech coach & teacher in Ghana - he started #AfricaEd as a way to share ideas and build community in Africa. (He's also presenting at this year's AISA All-Educator Conference in Johannesburg in October.) There's a growing number of teachers around Africa joining in ...as well as teachers in Europe, the Middle East, and further afield.

It's a great way to get into Twitter and learn more about social networking ...as well as making professional connections! Hope to "see" you in the chat today!

Get great ideas! Make friends! Share resources! Have fun!
