MS Character Day
On Friday March 26, 2010, the grades 6, 7 and 8 teachers, teaching assistants and students were involved in a Middle School Character Day. All of the students participated in 3 team building activities (Restaurant Rivals, Pot Holes and the Lily Pad Hop) throughout the ICS campus. The purpose of the day was to have the students reflect on how their own involvement in the activities coincided with the IB Learner Profile traits. Whether they were trying to prevent waiters from carrying trays of water in Restaurant Rivals, helping their blind folded partner(s) navigate through an obstacle course in Pot Holes or getting to Lily Land safely away from the frog eating monsters in the Lily Pad Hop, students thought and wrote about their own risk taking, communicating, thinking, open-mindedness, etc. in each activity on a Character Day Reflection sheet. I would like to thank all of the participating ICS teachers, teaching assistants and parents for making our Middle School Character Day such a wonderful event.
