ICS Addis uses the International School Services (ISS), Search Associates and Council of International Schools (CIS) job fairs as a primary means for teacher recruitment. This year we will attend recruitment fairs in Johannesburg (Search), Bangkok (ISS and Search) and Boston (ISS and Search). Our positions may also be advertised with TIE, CIS and the IBO.

Living in Addis Ababa

Applicants Beware of Recruiting Scams
ICS Addis will never ask or require teacher applicants to send money for application fees, interview fees, visas, plane tickets or other costs associated with recruitment or moving to Ethiopia. We will not ask potential teachers for information related to bank accounts or other private information. If you have been asked to send money to cover any costs by someone claiming to represent ICS Addis or another international school, you are probably the target of an elaborate scam. Several good international schools have recently had their web sites cloned, and candidates in contact through those fake sites have been asked to send large amounts of money. All international candidates are urged to be diligent in investigating potential schools thoroughly during the recruiting process and prior to signing a contract. Use extreme caution if you have been asked for money or private information.

How to recognize fraud

  • All ICS Addis email addresses end in “@icsaddis.edu.et”. Any email purporting to be from ICS Addis that uses a different domain name is not genuine.
  • ICS Addis will NEVER request an applicant to visit a school website or webpage with any address that does not include the domain icsaddis.edu.et.
  • ICS Addis administrators always interview candidates prior to making employment offers. Our administrators also call current or recent supervisors as referees, prior to making an offer.
  • Money transfers or other payments will NOT be requested by ICS Addis as part of the recruitment process for any purpose.
  • Should you experience any of the foregoing, please treat the communication as fraudulent and forward it to our info@ or recruitment@ email addresses at ICS Addis. We will strive to investigate the situation and have corrective action taken, However, ICS Addis cannot be held liable or responsible for fraudulent activity by a third party.
