Board Elections

Every year at the Association General Meeting (AGM) in April, parent volunteers stand for election to the ICS Board of Governors; there are seven open seats for a two-year term.

Being a Board Member requires approximately one meeting per month, a couple of additional Board retreats and a few meetings for Committee/Task Force work. The Board primarily deals with the strategic direction of ICS in partnership with ICS Administration. As ICS embarks on academic and facility growth, it is imperative that there is a diverse and complete/functional Board of Governors. For this reason, we ask that all association members to consider running for the Board.

ICS needs committed, open-minded, enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to serve on the Board.

If you are interested in serving on the Board for two years, please submit the following:

  • a one-page letter of interest
  • a recent 2-page CV/resume
  • a current photo to the Board Administrator
  • film a 2 minute introduction video

In addition to your submission, you will need to schedule time to take a 2-minute introduction video.  Once you have submitted your documents, we will work with you to schedule a time to film your video between 28 March and 5 April.

Election Timeline

27 February - 27 March: Submit "Letters of Interest" to Board

28 March-5 April: Record introduction videos

10 April – 19 April: Candidate CVs and videos available to the ICS Community

12 April – 19 April: Absentee electronic and paper voting begins

19 April:  Association General Meeting with Speeches from Candidates, voting and final tally
